Kiss My Math: Showing Pre-Algebra Who’s Boss |

Kiss My Math: Showing Pre-Algebra Who’s Boss by Danica McKellar Math Doesn’t Suck: How to Survive Middle School Math Without Losing Your Mind or Breaking a Nail by Danica McKellar Recommending a math book for summer? You bet, Danica McKellar's two books Math Doesn't Suck and Kiss My Math are great books for summer. Especially if your daughter isn’t confident in math. Both of these books turn math on its head and explain it in a language that really makes sense and lets you laugh at math (Chapter 14: Can a Guy Be Too Cute? Intro to Solving and Graphing Inequalities). There are also plenty of testimonials about successful women and how math helped them, but one of my favorite parts is the quizzes (Do You Pick Supportive Friends?). Light years better than a summer bridge workbook, this easy to follow, funny book will not only teach your daughter math but it will improve your understanding of math, too. There’s time in the summer to explore math before the tightly scheduled fall begins, so go find this book and kick some math. Now out in paperback.
